Museum Essay #1

 What is art? Art is something that people express their self in when their mad, happy or just having fun people put their feelings in art. Even though you don’t know it but art is literally everywhere you go, in the street, building, floors, and subway station wall and in clothes it literally everywhere.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         For my first painting the one on thats black and white I picked it cause it was really unique painting to me. It’s called “Women asleep at the table” from by Pablo Picasso in 1936. I chose this painting because it caught my eyes cause just of the way it looks make you want to figure out what’s happening. When you first look at this picture I feel like it takes a while for you to see what’s really going on cause of the way the printer made the painting look. It’s a black and white painting your could see how the women is laying her head on the table you cant really see it at first cause of the of shapes and lines he put in this women making hard to figure out her body making her look weird and unique in its own way. There’s a focal point in this painting and the focal point its on the women you could see the black colors around her making you look in her direction.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  For my second picture the one on your left it’s really bright painting. The painting is called “The adoration of the magi” from Bartolo di Fredi year 1390. In this painting it shows a lot of color and some warm colors you could see, the red, yellow and the other color, which makes the picture, pop out. This is a two-dimensional painting because it’s a drawing. In the drawing it shows how all the people are looking the baby I’m guessing the picture has something to so with the baby. I guess the focal point is the lady and the baby cause they have their body and face looking at them.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           In the two painting these picture are different and same in their own way.  They are different cause one of them are black and white and the other one has color.  They similar in away cause they both have focal points but they are not really the same. It’s was really hard for me to find a painting in the museum I had to go around everywhere just to find a painting that was 500 year apart. I chose these pictures because they both caught my eyes.
