The collage artwork that I picked is named Anonymous was a Woman. This piece of artwork is part of the Brooklyn Museum online collection. The artist is Miriam Schapiro and she created this work of art in 1976. This was made by using acrylic paint. You can see what makes it a collage artwork by the small squares that are different colors and have different designs painted on them. On the top of the painting you see the squares in a pattern next to each other going across horizontally. On the bottom of the painting you see the hexagons in a horizontal pattern. The squares look as if they were one big square and then cut up and placed on different areas of the painting. The middle of the painting is a square who's border is made up of diamond shapes which around different colors. Then if you look right outside of that you have the flower border that goes around it, in which the flowers are all different colors also.
